Gatherle
Effective date: 22 June 2026. Policy version: terms-v1.
These terms are a practical operating policy for Gatherle and should be reviewed by a South African legal professional before broad production launch.
Gatherle is a social-first event discovery product that helps people discover events, venues, organizations, people, and moments connected to real-world experiences.
For legal, privacy, or support questions, contact us at gatherle.inc@gmail.com.
By creating an account, signing in, tapping an acceptance control, or continuing to use Gatherle, you agree to these terms and any policies referenced in them. Electronic acceptance has the same practical effect as signing a paper agreement where South African law allows electronic records and signatures.
If you use Gatherle on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are allowed to bind that organization and manage its events, venues, members, and public profile information.
You must be at least 18 years old to create or use a Gatherle account. By signing up, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
You may not use Gatherle if you are prohibited from doing so under applicable law, if your account has been suspended for safety or abuse reasons, or if you are using the service on behalf of someone else without permission.
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity that happens through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
We may require email verification, bot-prevention checks, or additional safety checks before enabling some account features.
Gatherle helps users discover and participate in events, but event hosts remain responsible for the accuracy, legality, safety, cancellation handling, and delivery of events they publish.
An RSVP, save, follow, message, or notification is not a guarantee that an event will happen, that space is available, or that entry requirements will be met. Always check event details, venue rules, age restrictions, pricing, and safety considerations before attending.
Hosts must have the rights and permissions needed to publish event information, images, venue details, prices, rules, and links. Hosts must not publish events that are unlawful, misleading, unsafe, fraudulent, or discriminatory.
You may post or submit profile information, event details, messages, moments, reports, and other content. You remain responsible for content you submit.
You give Gatherle a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, adapt, and process your content only as needed to operate, secure, moderate, improve, and promote Gatherle and its event discovery features. You keep ownership of your content.
You may not use Gatherle to harass, threaten, impersonate, discriminate, spam, exploit minors, publish unlawful content, violate intellectual property rights, mislead users, scrape the service, bypass security, or interfere with the service.
We may remove content, limit distribution, suspend accounts, or preserve information where needed for safety, security, legal compliance, or enforcement.
Gatherle may provide reporting tools for events, users, organizations, venues, moments, or messages. Reports should be truthful, contextual, and submitted in good faith.
We may review reports, related account information, relevant content, and technical metadata to investigate abuse, safety issues, fraud, or policy violations.
Gatherle may send service communications such as email verification, security notices, RSVP updates, support responses, and transactional notifications. Where marketing or optional notifications are offered, you should be able to opt out or change preferences, subject to messages we must still send for account, safety, or legal reasons.
If Gatherle links to third-party ticketing, maps, OAuth providers, payment providers, venues, or external sites, those services may have their own terms and privacy policies. Gatherle is not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
We aim to keep Gatherle reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. Features may change as the product evolves, especially during beta and early launch periods.
We may suspend or terminate access, remove content, restrict features, or preserve records where reasonably needed to protect users, investigate abuse, enforce these terms, comply with law, or protect Gatherle and the public.
You may stop using Gatherle at any time. Some information may remain where retention is reasonably needed for legal, safety, audit, dispute, fraud-prevention, or backup purposes.
To the extent allowed by South African law, Gatherle is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We are not liable for indirect loss, lost profits, missed events, third-party conduct, venue issues, or harm caused by inaccurate user-submitted information.
Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited, including rights under applicable consumer protection law.
We may update these terms when laws, product features, or operational practices change. If changes are material, we may ask you to accept the updated terms before continuing to use Gatherle.
These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, unless another mandatory law applies.
If a dispute arises, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally. Nothing in these terms prevents you from using complaint mechanisms or rights that apply under South African law.
